How is this different from NaviNet Prior Authorizations (medical benefit)?
NaviNet Prior Authorizations handles medical benefit prior authorizations (procedures, services, and medical-side requests). NaviNet Drug Authorizations, powered by CoverMyMeds, specifically handles pharmacy benefit drug PAs. Both live inside NaviNet, so your office uses the same interface for whichever PA type a given request needs.
Do we need a separate CoverMyMeds account?
No. The CoverMyMeds-powered drug PA workflow is integrated directly into NaviNet. You access it from the Workflows tab using your existing NaviNet AllPayer credentials.
How do we get started?
Log in to NaviNet, click Drug Authorizations under the Workflows tab in the upper left corner, then click Create New… to start your first PA request. If your office isn’t on NaviNet AllPayer yet, you can subscribe directly or request a demo and our team will walk you through enrollment.
