Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong has served as Chairman of our Board of Directors since NantHealth’s founding in July 2010. A physician, surgeon and scientist, Dr. Soon-Shiong has pioneered novel therapies for both diabetes and cancer, published more than 100 scientific papers, and has received over 95 patents on groundbreaking advancements spanning a myriad of fields.

Dr. Naseem is Chief Executive Officer, responsible for NantHealth’s day-to-day strategy and execution. A Cardiac Electrophysiologist with over 30 years of experience in the practice of medicine, Dr. Naseem brings with him an impressive track record of leadership and innovation in the healthcare industry, along with a deep commitment to our mission of enabling data to fuel better and more effective patient outcomes. Dr. Naseem has achieved remarkable success in building clinical infrastructure that is supported by an all-inclusive care delivery platform built on value-based care models and AI predictive analytics.


LAUREN SCHIEGG

Lauren Schiegg is Chief Operating Officer, responsible for NantHealth’s worldwide operations. Schiegg is a results-driven healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience in business development, data analytics, and strategic planning. Schiegg holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Option from Louisiana State University. Schiegg’s expertise lies in identifying growth opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and driving revenue growth for healthcare companies. For the past eight years, Schiegg has served as the Co-founder, Partner, and Chief Development Officer at Summus Healthcare and its subsidiaries. Schiegg has a proven track record in managing healthcare analytics, engaging providers and staff in quality improvement initiatives, and fostering relationships with payers and community stakeholders.


BOB PETROU

Chief Financial Officer

Bob Petrou is NantHealth’s Chief Financial Officer. Petrou drives financial strategy for NantHealth and leads all financial functions including corporate finance, accounting, audit and investor/analyst relations. Since joining NantHealth in 2017, he has focused on maximizing long-term shareholder value by balancing investment, cost management, and ensuring the company is achieving financial performance. Previously, he spent 16 years with BlackBerry Limited—a telecommunications company—where he held various finance positions then ended as the Head of Finance, Mobility Solutions, and Handheld Devices and Emerging Solutions. Mr. Petrou holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from the University of Guelph and is also a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.


TIFFANY AVERY, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Tiffany Avery is NantHealth’s Chief Medical Officer, responsible for providing clinical strategic direction. Dr. Avery joined NantHealth in 2019 as the Medical Director of Oncology and is a board-certified Medical Oncologist with a special interest in breast cancer and differences in cancer survival. Prior to her role at NantHealth, she served as an Assistant Professor of Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University and Wake Forest Baptist Health. After completing fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, Dr. Avery focused and lectured on clinical research and the care of breast cancer patients. Dr. Avery has been an invited speaker on topics including cancer prevention, treatments, clinical trials, and survival disparities, producing peer-reviewed publications, conference abstracts, editorials, and serving as an investigator on several breast cancer clinical trials. Dr. Avery earned her BS and MPH in Epidemiology from Tulane University and MD from LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans, Louisiana. She is also board certified in Lifestyle Medicine and co-host of 3 Black Docs, a podcast aimed at addressing health and cancer disparities.


MEGAN SALMON-GARDELL RN, MSN, ANP-BC, AOCNP

Megan Salmon-Gardell is the Chief Nursing Officer at NantHealth, where she assumes a pivotal role in leading the clinical team and establishing rigorous standards for nursing care. In this capacity, she is instrumental in formulating policies and protocols to ensure the attainment of these high standards. With close to two decades of experience in clinical operations, Megan has consistently demonstrated her commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. Prior to joining NantHealth, Megan served as the Director of Clinical Operations at Eviti for a notable seven-year tenure, showcasing her adept leadership skills. Her academic credentials include a Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Scranton. Megan is also board certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Oncology and Adult Health. Megan Salmon-Gardell’s professional journey is marked by a steadfast dedication to excellence and a profound impact on healthcare. Her role as Chief Nursing Officer exemplifies her commitment to fostering innovation and elevating the standard of patient-centric care at NantHealth.


ARLYN SMALL

Chief People Officer

Arlyn Small Headshot

Arlyn Small is the Chief People Officer for NantHealth and leads the company’s overall human resources strategy. He is responsible for the acquisition, development and management of NantHealth’s most valuable resource: it’s employees. Small brings 25 plus years of experience in manufacturing, high tech, telecommunication and retail industries, and has spent his career helping people reach their goals and potential. Before joining NantHealth, he served as Vice President of Human Resources at Lassonde Industries, a global beverage manufacturing company, and served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Contegix LLC, a high tech, managed service provider. He has also held senior level roles at Qlik Technologies, Amazon, Tyco Electronics, and Microsoft. Small holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in social science from Pittsburgh State University and a Masters of Public Administration from Troy University. He is also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.


MARC L. HARRISON

Chief Legal Officer

Marc Harrison joined NantHealth as Chief Legal Officer in February 2024. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, including 24 years of experience with public and private companies across the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He previously served as the chief legal and compliance officer at a publicly traded biotechnology company and, before that, performed in the same role at a privately held pharmaceutical company. Marc has a demonstrated history of executive leadership, team building and providing strategic legal and business advice, with a dedication to supporting products and services that reduce healthcare costs and improve patient outcomes. He holds a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.


KEITH KREBS

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Eviti

Keith Krebs is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of NantHealth’s Eviti product line, responsible for the development, testing, and releases. Prior to stepping into the product development role, he led the client implementations, project management office (PMO), client services engineering and client experience teams. Since joining NantHealth in 2017, Krebs has been responsible for ensuring customer experience excellence throughout the organization. Under his leadership, NantHealth leads the industry in customer satisfaction, driven by a passion for delivering NantHealth solutions seamlessly to payers and providers, helping them better care for the patients they serve. Krebs previously served in several roles at Harris Corporation, including Director of Operations for Harris Healthcare, Harris Corporation. Krebs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.


SEAN HENSON

Senior Vice President and General Manager, NaviNet

Sean Henson is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of NantHealth’s NaviNet product line, overseeing a portfolio of revenue cycle & utilization review SaaS products. In the past decade, Sean Henson has led teams focused on value-based care performance and analytics allowing for the development of methodologies and strategies that delivered real impact on both the cost but more importantly the quality of patient care. His expertise extends to optimizing contract performance, implementing process optimization at scale and playing a pivotal role in forming value-based organizations, ensuring success in diverse programs such as Accountable Care Organization Reach (ACOs), Medicare Advantage plans, full capitation commercial plans, and innovative initiatives like DCE and BPCI. Henson is currently an executive MBA candidate for the 2025 class at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.


ALAN BROWN

Senior Vice President and General Manager, OpenNMS

Alan Brown is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of NantHealth’s OpenNMS product line, overseeing, operating, and managing the world’s first full open source enterprise-grade network service monitoring. Brown is a seasoned technology professional, with over 30+ years experience in Aerospace & Defense and Telecommunication Industries. With his strategic business vision coupled with results driven tactical execution and efficient and effective communication Brown enables seamless alignment across the enterprise to achieve and exceed business targets. Brown holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from The University of Dallas.


CHARLES HUNT

Vice President, User Experience

Charles Hunt is the Vice President of User Experience for NantHealth. As part of the executive leadership team, he brings more than 20 years of UX and product design experience to the company. Over the past three years at NantHealth, he has worked to elevate the role of User Experience in the company bringing greater focus to the design processes and research techniques needed to deliver impactful solutions that address both user and customer needs. Hunt’s industry experience spans influential companies in the mobile technology space, including Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, and HTC—creating and delivering holistic design experiences. In previous roles, he served as Principal Designer of BlackBerry Limited. Hunt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati.
