VitalsConX represents NantHealth’s newest solution to the company’s technology platform bringing interoperability, connectivity and real-time decision support to clinicians at the point of care

CULVER CITY, CA
– March 3, 2016 – NantHealth, LLC, a transformational company combining the power of genomic science and healthcare IT through a highly scalable, cloud-based platform, today announced the deployment of its VitalsConX software solution in Singapore hospitals to support patient rounding, a critical component in the delivery of patient care. The VitalsConX solution is available for demo at HIMSS 16 in Las Vegas February 29 – March 4, 2016.
During rounding, clinicians visit patients at the bedside, conducting periodic evaluations to monitor their progress, address concerns, and collect and document vital signs. However, the traditional method of paper documentation has proven to be inefficient, causing miscommunication and disorganization of patient data, resulting in poor care coordination and duplication of work.

NantHealth’s VitalsConX solution enables the clinician to collect data electronically while confirming vital signs at the bedside. Through NantHealth’s partnership with Allscripts, the VitalsConX solution uses Allscript’s Unity API to send data directly to its electronic health record (EHR), Sunrise Clinical Manager. This streamlined process makes the information immediately available in the patient record for the care team.

To date, NantHealth has deployed 74 VitalsConX enabled devices at Changi General Hospital (CGH), helping reduce time spent by clinical staff on entering vital sign documentation in the EMR.

“Being able to take and electronically document vitals at the bedside allows me more time to focus on my patient’s needs,” says one nurse at CGH.

“Under the leadership of Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, NantWorks’ CEO and founder, NantHealth is transforming the healthcare landscape by bringing actionable information to the point of care to inform clinician decision making and reduce administrative burden,” said Bob Watson, president of NantHealth. “The VitalsConX solution directly supports this goal by simplifying vital signs collection so that clinicians can spend more time caring for their patients.”
